Meet William S. Ferguson

Will Ferguson, born on October 13, 1948, grew up in a small town in coastal New Jersey and, after college in South Carolina, moved to New Mexico for law school. After leaving the Air Force as a young officer, he passed the Bar in 1974 and established a law firm in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with a statewide personal injury practice.

Will became board-eligible as a civil trial specialist in 1996 and has participated in the litigation of hundreds of high-profile serious-injury cases. In recent years, Will’s interests have broadened to include aviation and banking, but especially high-level automobile competition and development. Recently, Will owned KB Titan Racing, an NHRA Pro Stock championship team based in Mooresville, North Carolina, as well as multiple movie-making and manufacturing enterprises.

Will has long been a member of the Multimillion-Dollar Trial Advocates, Distinguished Lawyers of America, The American Trial Lawyers Association, and other organizations connected with his personal injury litigation practice. He has lectured in his field and has long sponsored Ferguson Court at the University of New Mexico Law School, his Alma Mater.

Meet Jason A. Vigil

Jason A. Vigil is a lifelong New Mexican. He was born and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico where he graduated from St. Michael’s High School in 2007. He graduated with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from New Mexico State University with honors in 2010. Jason graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2014, where he served as the student representative on the Faculty Appointment Committee, the body charged with identifying the school’s needs and interviewing and hiring professors. Jason has been admitted to practice in New Mexico and Federal Courts since 2014.

Jason started practicing law on the defense side, working under some of the most experienced defense attorneys in the state. His practice focused on defending clients in cases regarding personal injury and wrongful death. While that experience was informative, it was not a good fit for Jason—he wanted something more. Since switching sides to representing injured claimants, Jason has been awarded The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 for Civil Plaintiff Attorneys. He has also played a key role in securing substantial results for his clients, including recoveries of $4.6 million, $17 million, $9.5 million, $8.25 million, $13.9 million, and $13 million.

Jason believes it’s our job as trial lawyers to help people. Helping people can come in many forms. It can include helping to remove dangerous products from the market, show a doctor they need to spend more time with patients or force a company to spend more time and resources in training its employees on safety. When those defendants refuse to make any positive changes, we litigate the claims for monetary compensation because that’s just how the justice system operates.

In his spare time, Jason enjoys being with his family and friends, traveling, trying new restaurants, and playing a round of golf.

Meet Gary M. Marquez

Gary M. Marquez, a proud Albuquerque native, has spent more than 40 years advocating for injured individuals throughout New Mexico. Although he received opportunities to attend schools on the East Coast, Gary chose to remain close to home, earning both his undergraduate degree with honors in 1979 and his law degree in 1984 from the University of New Mexico.

Gary considers it both an honor and a privilege to serve the community that helped shape him. Early in his legal career, he worked as a prosecutor for Bernalillo County and later as an insurance defense attorney. Those experiences allowed him to develop exceptional trial skills while gaining firsthand insight into how insurance companies evaluate, defend, and often undervalue injury claims.

Today, Gary uses that knowledge to fight for injured clients, helping ensure they are treated fairly and receive the compensation they deserve. As a Spanish-speaking attorney, he is proud to serve and communicate directly with a broader range of individuals and families throughout Albuquerque, New Mexico.
